A$AP Rocky's Mom encouraged Him To date Rihanna
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky appear to be a perfect couple ... but interestingly, it seems they were also brought together by the rapper's mother!
According to TMZ, A$AP was a guest on "NYT Popcast" Thursday and shared that his mom would frequently encourage him to pursue Rihanna when they were merely friends ... although he believed she didn't view him in that light. However, the "Fashion Killa" artist was honest about his feelings ... he admitted he was always interested in Rihanna -- and who could blame him?
He expressed his gratitude for the timing of their romance, stating that he didn't think he was ready for such a relationship before. He also praised their compatibility and the shared experiences from their childhood, explaining ... "We were on the same wavelength. Born in the same year. My dad hails from her country. ... When I visit, I get to connect with both sides of my family."
As you may know, A$AP and the Fenty Beauty mogul were friends long before they fell in love ... first crossing paths in 2012 during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their relationship evolved into something deeper in 2020, and they have been together ever since.
They are parents to three children -- RZA, Riot, and Rocki -- and the world is left wondering if they are married ... something A$AP may have hinted at by referring to RiRi as his "wife."
In any case, it's evident that their bond is filled with love -- they just keep working, working, working, working, working!
